Larochelle A magazine amplifying youth voices and showcasing art from Moston and Harpurhey, providing a platform for young people to express themselves.

Bilawal A walking group for young men struggling with mental health, particularly grief, creating a supportive space for healing.

Dorcas
Dorcas launched Kulture Fest, a celebration of African culture in North Manchester. Featuring a range of local Manchester artists, including HERchester, Kofi Gyamfi, Richard Kankendo, Kulture Fest saw hordes of audiences united over food, music and shared experience. She is hoping to make this an annual event.

Farhad
Farhad created a project called Potential which hopes to create opportunities for young people to unlock viable careers by building reciprocal relationships with businesses and entrepreneurs across the UK. Farhad has now had access to many other paid opportunities as part of The Agency. Learn more about Potential here.

Sufyaan
Artscape identified the importance of art and the mental health benefits it provides, but also the cost to access art materials outside of school. Launching with a workshop on how to use the materials, Sufyaan created luxury art packs that are available to young people for free and can be collected from key places around Moston and Harpurhey.

Nathan and Blake
Meet Your Makers is and e-gaming tournament to support mental health and allow young people in the territory to practice and play video games they may not have access to at home. Creating a gaming community in the real world.

Eliah
Food for all looked at the increased usage of food banks in the area with the cost of living crisis. Eliah developed recipe cards that celebrate and consider a variety of cultures for food bank users using ingredients typically donated. These recipe cards and food packages with all the ingredients to make the meals were donated to local food banks.

Hannah
Hannah was supported to build Ludi Juegos Jocs which brings people together in Moston and Harpurhey to learn games from other cultures and achieve cultural cohesion. The aim of the project is for young people to tackle racism in the area, make new friends and come together through play.

Demereece, Ahtasham & Aaliyah
Dawn To The Light is a video game which spreads awareness about mental health and acts as an interactive form of therapy with in-game coping methods.

With support from the team at Contact they have since raised and additional £20,000 for their project.

Dasha

Created a project called Embracing Me, a creative project tailored to new Year 7's struggling with the challenges of fitting in. Embracing Me delivers body image workshops in high schools in the Moston and Harpurhey area.

Saphia
In 2019-20, Saphia created We: Integrate helps to rehabilitate ex-offenders back into society by giving them a voice through the creative mediums of music, poetry and short stories.

The mission is to try and unite young ex-offenders together by being in a space where they can explore their creative selves and lived experiences.
