Aayan and Zizi ‘Beyond the Block’ is a comic book to educate young people on avoiding gang involvement, using storytelling to spark important conversations.

Sports with Support provides a safe and judgement free environment for girls to improve on their mental health and body image through sport and fitness without religious and cultural barriers or financial reasons being a barrier. Sports with Support offers free, fun-filled sport activities in a private and safe area where girls can reflect on themselves and enjoy what they like to do without worries and insecurities about their bodies.

Enjoy Education’s mission is to empower young people in Southampton to feel confident in their knowledge by providing free maths and science tuition. The project introduces fun ways of learning while still maintaining professionalism to help pupils from Year 9 to 11 learn and unlock their full potential. The aim is for them to gain a deeper understanding of certain maths and science topics and boost their self-esteem.

Our mission is to provide free sports for boys aged 10-18 to improve their mental health, lead them away from crime and fulfil their passion through sports. ART of Sport provides an early intervention, encouraging boys and young men to spend their time positively, whilst leading active and healthy lifestyles.

The Eco-kids’ mission is to encourage young people to be more environmentally friendly by providing fun and educational activities. The Northam area is known to be environmentally deprived (61% of people from Bevois ward said litter lying around is a big issue). Therefore, our project gives the participants skills to live more sustainably and the opportunity to revitalise Northam through engaging community activities.

Area Elites is a four-week multi-sports programme where young people aged 8-16 get the chance to play cricket, basketball and football. The benefit of this program is that it provides a safe space for young people to be themselves and look after their mental and physical wellbeing. The project takes places in the Newtown area of Southampton.

Our project is based around supporting young people’s mental health. We do this by running studio workshops with young people then collectively creating murals on local outdoor wall spaces. Murals make the area look brighter and also have the potential to become landmarks. We created the art collective’s Space 2 Create project because art and poetry have affected each of us personally. They are ways for us to express our feelings and find positive pathways forward. We wanted to share this with others to make our community a happier place to live and be.
