Something to Say

A project by Ade (Manchester)

Something to Say is a book created to amplify the voices of young Black people in Manchester. The book created with partner Alex, profiled personal stories, interviews and poetry from Black young people, offering young people the opportunity to express themselves while providing the wider community with a window into their lived experiences. Ade is developing a new edition of the book, continuing to champion young Black voices. He has also contributed to national conversations on the criminalisation of drill music, as featured in The Guardian, The New York Times and ITVX. Ade has gone on to become a Peer Mentor, and a member of the Steering Group.
